Bangladesh posted a modest 144 for 8, with Afif Hossain top-scoring with 38. However, the Netherlands fought back through Max O'Dowd (33) and Bas de Leede (32), but ultimately fell short of the target.
Van Meekeren and de Leede were the pick of the Dutch bowlers, taking two wickets each. However, it was Bangladesh's bowlers who turned the tide in their favor, with Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman picking up three wickets each.
The win puts Bangladesh in a strong position to qualify for the Super 12 stage of the tournament. They will face South Africa in their next match on October 30.
