Joint Wrestling and Gymnastics Event Returns to Coliseum
WVU Hosts Third Mountaineer Fan Fest
The West Virginia University wrestling and gymnastics teams will once again join forces for the return of the Beauty and the Beast meet at the WVU Coliseum on Saturday, March 4, 2023. The event returns for the first time since 2020.
Prior to the meet, the third-ever Mountaineer Fan Fest will be held in the Coliseum's Great Hall from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fans can meet WVU student-athletes, get autographs, take photos and enjoy interactive games and activities.
The wrestling team, ranked No. 23 in the latest NWCA Coaches Poll, will face No. 11 Virginia Tech at 7 p.m. The gymnastics team, which set a season-high team score of 195.250 in its last meet, will host No. 17 George Washington at 6 p.m.
