Several accidents cause traffic jams on the A6 near Nuremberg
The A6 was completely closed in the direction of Heilbronn for several hours on Thursday afternoon. The reason for this was a serious accident involving a semi-trailer truck.
As the police announced, the truck driver was slightly injured when he drove into a construction site barrier at the Feucht/Altdorf junction shortly before 1 p.m. The truck then overturned and came to a stop on its side.
The cause of the accident is still unclear. According to the police, the 40-ton truck was carrying paper rolls. The A6 was completely closed in the direction of Heilbronn for several hours. Traffic jams formed. The clean-up work lasted until the evening.
In addition to the truck accident, there were several other accidents on the A6 near Nuremberg on Thursday afternoon. Among other things, a car caught fire near the Nuremberg-Langwasser junction. The driver was able to save himself.
The A6 was also closed in the direction of Amberg for a short time due to an accident. The police are still investigating the exact circumstances of all accidents.
